Tree at Mayyan Ooyakma
Sometimes when I'm out on a hike, a particular tree strikes me in a way that makes me want to paint it. There's nothing special about this tree or this rock formation, but, in a way, that's what drew me to paint it. I like to find the beauty in the ordinary, plain things if I possibly can. Trees are our friends, and I was glad to see this young oak at Mayyan Ooyakma in San Jose.
This watercolor painting is a miniature. It's 5 inches by 7 inches. It comes framed in an 8 inch by 11 inch frame.
